In 2005 we decided to go abroad with the Scouts for the first time ever.  To make it more financially viable we invited Heybridge Scouts to join us.  This meant that we took a group of over 40 Scouts and Leaders to Adelboden for 10 days.

Why Switzerland

As this was our first International Trip, we didn't want anything too unusual or daunting to organise.  With Switzerland being 'westernised' enough for us not be out of our depth and as was highly recommended by other people that travelled there we opted to go there.  We used the services of JEKA Group Holidays to organise the trip for us, making it very easy as just needed to book the date, pay them the money and let them know what we wanted to do.
