Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all face-to-face Scouting is now suspended.  We will be continuing though.  We will be having virtual meetings and setting challenges and badge work for the Scouts to do at home. On this webpage we will keep everyone up to date with what we are doing, what they need to do each week and how to take part in our ‘Virtual Scout Meetings’.

WHAT EQUIPMENT SCOUTS I NEED?

We are keeping it as simple as we can so everyone can stay connected.  So Scouts just need a Smartphone, Tablet, Laptop or PC.

WHAT SOFTWARE WILL SCOUTS NEED?

We are going to use zoom.  It won’t cost the Scouts anything to use it.  All they need to do is visit the following website at the relevant time of each meeting.  A free app is available that improves the performance which we recommend is installed.

FRIDAY 15th MAY - SILVER END QUEST

An online meeting where Scouts will sit at home and will have to crack clues and send a leader 'out into the wild' to various locations.

All will have to be done within an hour though so we don't break social distancing guidance!

It will be useful to have the sheet of road names of Silver End with you that was emailed out this week.

The clues are cryptic so will test everyone's brain power!

FRIDAY 22nd MAY - MAGIC SHOW & WORKSHOP

Do you like magic?

We have arranged for something very different and special for this evening.  We have a magician who will be doing a performance just for us for 40 minutes followed by a workshop to teach you some tricks.

Scouts will need the following for the workshop:-

- coin

- rubber bands

- pack of cards

- string and scissors
